“I believe we all hold an inherent wisdom and capacity for wellness and healing.
Regardless of our history of experiences, our nervous systems are always available and seeking to connect to safe and life-affirming encounters -the bedrock to individual and collective healing and liberation.”
-Jenica Geisler (she/her), R.Ac, KOH.P
Jenica, from Passage Wellness & Acupuncture, is a Registered Acupuncturist who offers treatment and support for those seeking to heal, reconnect to their body’s inherent wisdom, cultivate resilience, and develop a more holistic relationship with themselves, others, and the world around them.
She completed her diploma in Doctorate studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences (ACOS) in Nelson, BC, in 2012. She began practicing as a Community Acupuncturist shortly after and for the following 6 years, which inspired her to use her skillset for positive social and cultural change.
Now, Jenica holds a private practice in Victoria on the lands of the Unceeded Coast Salish Territory. Starting in September 2023, she will also be providing care and treatment in Quw’utsun (Cowichan Valley) on the lands of the Hul’q’umi’num Coast Salish Peoples.
Jenica was born on the First Nation’s territory of the Gixtan and Wetʼsuwetʼen peoples, now known as Smithers and Hazelton in British Columbia. She is from the land of her ancestors -mainly the British Isles on her mothers side and Eastern Europe on her fathers side. Currently she resides on the unceded territories of the Lekwungen-Speaking and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, Victoria, BC.
Currently, Jenica supervises acupuncture students studying at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC and works as a clinical assistant for Alaine Duncan’s Tao of Trauma virtual year-long certification program, which integrates theoretical and clinical concepts from Western Neuroscience with the Five Elements of Chinese Medicine in support of treating trauma survivors.
Jenica is passionate about reconnecting to what it means to be an embodied, relational human, and is inspired to connect with others on reimagining wholeness at the intersections of intergenerational trauma, current structures of oppression, and a generative and co-creative future.
